Mashaun Hendricks
A pioneer of his own accord.
The First thing I noticed about Mashaun…. his habit to make sure everyone around him is okay. Through our conversations in Trap house, no matter if it’s filled with music and customers or quiet with a few of his friends, he wants to know that the people around him are okay.
Mashaun is the owner of Trap House Chicago, a concept store and streetwear brand, who’s mission is to end violence on the south and west sides by helping communities flourish through, economics, wellness, and culture.
The vision of Trap House began as a hope for the community, to amplify the positive nature of the black soul that the media does not portray. Mashaun took the initiative to learn the skills to create his own vision that is now a reality with two locations. One in the heart of the Southside on 79th and Cottage in Chatham and across the border lines, on West Division in Wicker Park.
Mashaun is a pioneer and no longer in the making. He has arrived and his mission will only expand. Its gonna be pretty amazing to see him flourish and the impact he makes on Chicago.
